l our guys have to challenge themselves to stop their man from scoring.”

Swift update
Center Robert Swift, sidelined the past six games by back spasms, hasn’t returned to practice but is improving.

"I honestly don’t know how I hurt it,” Swift said. "I woke up one morning and couldn’t move. It feels like it’s been two months, not 10 days. But it’s a lot better. Doctors can’t give me a timetable. ... It’s not going to be too much longer.”

Vacancy on backburner
Brooks hasn’t spent much time contemplating how he will fill an assistant coaching vacancy created when Paul Westhead was fired along with P.J. Carlesimo two weeks ago.

"I’ll look at it more the next couple of days,” Brooks said. "Obviously it puts a lot of work on all of us to do extra. Our guys are willing to do that. We have no problems hiding from work. It could still be some time (before it’s filled).”

Holiday package
The Thunder is offering three specially priced, four-game ticket packages for games scheduled Dec. 29 through March 16. The packages include two tickets to four games for $188, which is a $40 savings if purchased separately.

The featured games in the three packages are against the Lakers, Suns and Spurs, one game per package. Holiday packages also include $20 in Thunder Bucks, redeemable toward any purchase at the ThunderShop. For more information, call (405) 208-HOOP.
