Tisdale will be recognized during an on-court presentation for his contributions to basketball in Oklahoma and for his courage and spirit battling cancer and assisting others who have faced the same challenges. Tisdale was diagnosed with cancer in his knee in 2007. His right leg was amputated from the knee down in 2008 and he now wears a prosthetic leg. It was announced on Tuesday that Tisdale has been selected for induction into the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame. Go to Page 1C for more on Tisdale.
Win over Spurs set the bar for the ThunderBrooks was hesitant to describe Tuesday’s 96-95 victory at San Antonio as the best win of the season but listed it among the top five. "It’s definitely up there. It was a great effort,” Brooks said. "A lot of the guys chipped in to make that happen. Our defense was pretty consistent throughout the game...That game was a game that we can really look back on and say, ‘That’s how you play. That’s how you compete.’”
