Mason vents
Desmond Mason credited Dirk Nowitzki and Jason Terry for combining for 74 points, but didn’t mince words after the loss, stating too many times critical calls have gone against the Thunder at critical times.

"Down the stretch of every single game in the fourth quarter, we’re getting the short end of the stick,” Mason said. "Guys are playing hard. We’re in the bonus and Kevin (Durant) gets pulled down. Every single screen that Dirk sets is illegal when he sticks his butt out a little. I went and told them about it but we never got a call.”

Memory lane
Thunder coach Scott Brooks said Mo Cheeks, who was fired Saturday, was his mentor. Brooks grew up a 76ers fan. Cheeks and Julius Erving were his favorite players. His rookie season Brooks had to carry Cheeks’ jersey and shoes all year long, every day to practice.

"After the last game I never gave his jersey back to him,” Brooks said. "What’s funny is five years later I had Maurice sign the jersey. Back then, if you kept your jersey after the season the team charged you $400.
