"I really don’t know which play it was,” Durant said. "I remember running downcourt and it was bothering me a little. I couldn’t run like normal. I just wanted to stick it out and fight through it. After I get some treatment (Wednesday) hopefully I’ll be all right.”
Coach Scott Brooks
and teammates felt Russell Westbrook
turned in one of his better games of the season (16 points, 10 assists, two turnovers).
"With a guy like him, when he’s able to find guys it makes it a lot easier for us,” said Jeff Green
. "He got everybody open shots. You don’t have to panic and try to force up a shot. He played well tonight, also (defensively) on Tony Parker
Thunder signs Livingston
The Thunder signed point guard Shaun Livingston
, the No. 4 pick in the 2004 NBA Draft, to a multi-year contract. Terms were not disclosed. Livingston, 23, was drafted by the Clippers out of high school. He averaged 7.3 points and 4.7 assists in 149 career games.
A former McDonald’s All-American who once drew comparisons to Magic Johnson
because of his size, ball-handling and passing skills, the 6-foot-7 Livingston has played in only four NBA games since he tore all major ligaments in his left knee and dislocated his kneecap two years ago.
After averaging 9.5 points and 6.0 assists in 11 games with the Tulsa 66ers, OKC’s D-League affiliate, Brooks and his staff like what they’ve seen on film. The staff will evaluate Livingston in practice Thursday before determining when he might make his Thunder debut.
