THUNDER IN 6

The Thunder has played at a high level throughout the playoffs. Meanwhile, Miami needed six games to beat Indiana and seven games to beat a Boston team that needed seven games to beat Philadelphia. The Heat has to improve to win the Finals. The Thunder does not.

Four of the five of us who made preseason picks had this Finals matchup. None picked the Thunder then. All do now. OKC's bouts with stagnant half-court offense seemed to have subsided, and the Thunder can do one thing the Heat cannot — protect the rim.

If Chris Bosh could do what he did in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals every night, the Thunder might be in serious trouble. But Bosh won't keep that up and though the Heat is going to push the Thunder to the limit, OKC comes out with an NBA title.
