Nenad Krstic has heard his name called in every arena in the NBA.
Rarely has he heard it pronounced correctly.
"Right now, most of them say it almost right,” the Thunder center said. "It’s not going to be the Serbian way, but it’s OK.”
For the record, it’s NEY-nad KRIS-tich.
"At first, it was ‘KNEE-nad,’” Krstic said. "And my last name is always for some reason hard to say.”
Do the Thunder folks at the Ford Center get it right at least?
"Not really,” Krstic said laughing. "Etan told me, ‘You need to talk to him.’ I don’t pay attention really. I don’t mind if somebody says it wrong.
"Probably I am saying the American names not the same, too.”
