Thunderstorms are in the Friday forecast for central Oklahoma, the National Weather Service reports.
Cooler temperatures are ahead for the weekend with sunshine Saturday and Sunday.
The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:
Friday: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 7 a.m. then a chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. High near 76. North, northeast wind 5 to 10 mph increasing to 11 to 16 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent.
Friday night: Mostly cloudy then gradually becoming mostly clear with a low around 57. North wind 6 to 10 mph.
Saturday: Sunny with a high near 80. North, northeast wind 7 to 10 mph becoming east in the afternoon.
Saturday night: Clear with a low around 56. East, southeast wind 3 to 7 mph.
Sunday: Sunny with a high near 81. South, southeast wind 5 to 11 mph.
Sunday night: Mostly clear with a low around 59.
Monday: Sunny with a high near 84.
Monday night: Mostly clear with a low around 64.
Tuesday: Sunny with a high near 86.
Tuesday night: Mostly clear with a low around 67.
Wednesday: Sunny with a high near 87.
Wednesday night: Mostly clear with a low around 69.
Thursday: Mostly sunny with a high near 87.
