Thunderstorms expected late this week and into the weekend, National Weather Service offices in Norman and Tulsa

The Hazardous Weather Outlook from the National Weather Service, Norman Forecast Office shows that “Hot and dry weather will persist through most of Friday.” However, “A cold front is expected to approach Oklahoma late Friday and move from north to south Saturday. This front and its parent storm system will bring rain and thunderstorms. Strong storms with very heavy rain and strong wind gusts will be possible.”

The Hazardous Weather Outlook from the National Weather Service, Tulsa Forecast Office reads, “Warm and dry weather will continue through the end of the week. A cold front will approach the region over the weekend with showers and thunderstorms sweeping across the area Saturday into Sunday.”

Weather note:

The low temperatures this morning (Wednesday) included 45.7 degrees at 6 a.m. at El Reno in central Oklahoma and 45.7 degrees an hour later at Buffalo in northwestern Oklahoma.
