6:10 a.m. Thunderstorms have moved into Oklahoma City. Wind gusts up to 23 mph with lightning and rain have been reported by the National Weather Service. Check NewsOK.com for weather updates.

5:50 a.m. Thunderstorms with wind gusts up to 50 mph are moving into the Oklahoma City area from the southwest, the National Weather Service reports. Hail, lightning and heavy rain is possible. Storms in southwest Oklahoma are moving northeast at 35 mph. Check NewsOK.com for weather updates.

4:50 a.m. Thunderstorms with heavy rain, lightning, small hail and high winds are possible Thursday in parts of western and northern Oklahoma, the National Weather Service reports.

Storms were moving across western Oklahoma early Thursday.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Tuesday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly after 7 a.m. Partly sunny with a high near 87. South wind 14 to 18 mph with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Tuesday night: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy with a low around 72. South wind 6 to 13 mph.
