Thunderstorms are moving across central Oklahoma Thursday morning.

There is a chance for severe weather Thursday afternoon, the National Weather Service reports.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Thursday: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly after 1 p.m. Some of the storms could be severe. Mostly cloudy with a high near 77. South wind 8 to 13 mph becoming north in the morning.

Thursday: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly before 1 a.m. Some of the storms could be severe. Mostly cloudy with a low around 58. North wind 5 to 11 mph.

Friday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. Partly sunny with a high near 75. North wind 14 to 17 mph with gusts as high as 24 mph.

Friday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 53. North wind 6 to 16 mph with gusts as high as 23 mph.

Saturday: Mostly sunny with a high near 75. North wind 8 to 15 mph with gusts as high as 21 mph.

Saturday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 51.

Sunday: Mostly sunny with a high near 72.

Sunday night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy with a low around 53.

Monday: Sunny with a high near 81.

Monday night: Mostly clear with a low around 59.

Tuesday: Sunny with a high near 81.
