Tickets go on sale for New Kids on the Block's Oklahoma City show
Tickets go on sale Saturday for the Oklahoma City stop on “The Package Tour,” featuring all-grown-up boy bands New Kids on the Block, 98 Degrees and Boyz II Men.
The popular 1990s vocal groups will perform June 29 at Oklahoma City's Chesapeake Energy Arena.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday at www.ticketmaster.com. Prices are set at $29.50, $52.50, $72.50 and $92.50.
The June 29 show will mark the first time the three multi-platinum-selling groups will perform at the Oklahoma City venue, according to an area representative.
After reuniting in 2007, New Kids on the Block — Jordan Knight, Jonathan Knight, Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg and Danny Wood — embarked on a comeback tour in 2008 that included a 2009 stop at Tulsa's BOK Center. More than 6,000 fans — near capacity for the 6,500-person seating configuration — turned out to see NKOTB perform hits like “Hangin' Tough,” “Step By Step” and “You Got It (The Right Stuff).”
Along with headlining “The Package Tour,” the quintet also will release on April 2 its second album since reuniting. The album, titled “10,” will feature the new single, “Remix (I Like The),” which debuted Tuesday on iTunes. The group has quietly spent the past six months writing and recording the album.
