New Kids on the Block has sold more than 80 million albums worldwide. In the late 1980s and early '90s, the group shattered concert box-office records, playing an estimated 200 concerts a year, in sold-out stadiums throughout the world.
The group boasted an extensive and highly profitable merchandise line that ranged from lunchboxes and sleeping bags to comic books and dolls. Before NKOTB broke up in 1994, they set the standards and stage for a boy band boom in the late '90s.
“The Package Tour,” launches May 31 in Uncasville, Conn. It will be the first tour for 98 Degrees in more than 12 years, according to a news release.
