It's a shame FSN Southwest had to waste such a good broadcast crew on what could be one of the most lopsided games in NCAA Division I football this season.

In the booth will be Tim Brando and Spencer Tillman, partners for 10 seasons on CBS' "College Football Today” studio show. On the sidelines will be FSN sportscaster Emily Jones and former OU quarterback Charles Thompson. KWTV-9 sports director Dean Blevins will host the pregame show.

The five will be in Norman to call the pay-per-view telecast of Tennessee-Chattanooga vs. OU game at 6 p.m. Saturday. The game is being televised on pay-per-view because it wasn't selected for an over-the-air or cable TV broadcast. Under conference TV rules, games not picked up for regular TV distribution can only be televised live on pay-per-view.

However, fans can see a one-hour condensed telecast of the game for nothing. FSN Southwest will air it at noon Monday and 11 a.m. Tuesday as part of its "Big 12 No Huddle” series.

Tillman, an OU running back from 1983-86, will be broadcasting his first Sooners game. He said he is excited about doing the game with Brando, even if it isn't the best matchup. The two get out of the studio to broadcast a handful of games for CBS each season.

"It's fun for us because it's sort of a primer for us,” said Tillman, who broadcasts Houston, Texas, preseason games.
