Peterson finished with 146 yards and OU (5-3) was thinking about bowl games. •Win No. 6: Nov. 12, 2005 — Oklahoma 36, Texas A&M 30: The Sooners got out to a quick start, going up 28-0 in the first quarter on drives averaging 70 yards, but the game wasn't guaranteed until a fumble recovery as time expired. •Win No. 7: Nov. 26, 2005 — Oklahoma 42, Oklahoma State 14: This Bedlam game was close until late in the third quarter — when it was 21-7. Then Adrian Peterson unleashed, finishing with 237 yards and TDs of 84 and 71 yards. •Win No. 8: Dec. 29, 2005 — Oklahoma 17, Oregon 14: In the Holiday Bowl against the Ducks (remember them?) the Sooners salvaged their season.
