Time to look back and remember those 8 wins in 2005

/> •Win No. 4: Oct. 22, 2005 — Oklahoma 37, Baylor 30, 2OT:

Yes, you read it right. Double overtime — against Baylor.

The Sooners had to wait until a fourth-down pass by the Bears fell short in overtime.

OU managed only a field goal in the second half, blowing a 24-13 lead.

Win No. 5: Oct. 29, 2005 — Oklahoma 31, Nebraska 24:

Wearing a sign saying "I'm baaack,” Adrian Peterson returned from his ankle injury to give OU its third straight win.

Peterson finished with 146 yards and OU (5-3) was thinking about bowl games.

Win No. 6: Nov. 12, 2005 — Oklahoma 36, Texas A&M 30:

The Sooners got out to a quick start, going up 28-0 in the first quarter on drives averaging 70 yards, but the game wasn't guaranteed until a fumble recovery as time expired.

Win No. 7: Nov. 26, 2005 — Oklahoma 42, Oklahoma State 14:

This Bedlam game was close until late in the third quarter — when it was 21-7. Then Adrian Peterson unleashed, finishing with 237 yards and TDs of 84 and 71 yards.

Win No. 8: Dec. 29, 2005 — Oklahoma 17, Oregon 14:

In the Holiday Bowl against the Ducks (remember them?) the Sooners salvaged their season. Oregon was ranked No. 5 in the BCS and Bomar was named the game's offensive MVP.

Things were looking bright ...
