Occupation: U.S. Postal carrier
Age: 36
Story: Tim dreamed of one day farming his family's small acreage in Lone Grove, and was looking forward to clearing the land Wednesday morning. Family members said Tim loved to work with his hands and was a master at raising beautiful roses. He loved animals, often sheltered strays, and even domesticated a pig that would follow him around the property like a dog. Nevill enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 2001 and was later honorably discharged after an injury. He was living in a trailer home Tuesday with his mother and father — Mary and Earnest Nevill. When Earnest was blown through the door by the high winds, Tim ran down the hall to call 911. That was the last anyone saw him alive. “I kept yelling his name, but he never answered,” Mary Nevill said. “Tim was a good father and a hard worker,” said Mark Nevill, Tim's brother.
Funeral Services: Graveside today at 2 p.m. Overbrook Cemetery in McAlester.
