To prevent falls and injuries:
Stay active by walking and exercising, eating a nutritious diet and avoiding obesity.
To improve balance, get your ears and eyes checked regularly, do physical therapy to improve balance while standing or walking, use a cane or walker and monitor your blood pressure.
Have your eyes examined every year and replace glasses as needed.
Talk to your doctor and-or pharmacist about medications that can cause dizziness, nausea or tiredness.
Avoid alcohol and drug use.
