It’s official: Toby Keith’s Twister Benefit Concert has sold out again, this time in less than an hour
A limited number of additional tickets went on sale at noon today. About 50 minutes later, the Oklahoma country music superstar’s team posted on his official Twitter that the star-studded show had sold out again.
“Y’all did it again! The OKLAHOMA TWISTER RELIEF SHOW is officially SOLD OUT! THANK YOU for supporting this great cause!” reads the message on @TobyKeithMusic.
Tickets to the star-studded charity show, which is set for 3 p.m. July 6 at the University of Oklahoma’s Gaylord Family – Oklahoma Memorial Stadium, initially went on sale June 21 and sold out in a little more than an hour, according to a news release.
Along with Keith, the concert lineup includes fellow Oklahomans Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood, former Tulsan Ronnie Dunn, Willie Nelson, Sammy Hagar, Mel Tillis and John Anderson. In addition, Checotah native Carrie Underwood will give a special performance via satellite from the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tenn.
In addition, Keith’s daughter, Krystal Keith, who released her debut EP in April on his Show Dog Universal label, announced on Twitter this morning that she has officially been added to the bill:
“Guess who was added to the roster for the @TobyKeithMusic OK Twister Relief Concert benefiting @UnitedWay?! Yours Truly! See ya there XOXO!” she posted at @KrystalKeith.
Net proceeds (minus only credit card merchant fees and OK sales tax) for the Oklahoma Twister Relief Show will benefit The United Way of Central Oklahoma May Tornadoes Relief Fund.
I’m set to chat with Toby about the show soon, so look for more information on the show here at BAM’s Blog or at www.tobykeith.com.
