Tom Coburn uncertain about re-election bid

In 2004, Coburn announced as a candidate months after others — including former Oklahoma City Mayor Kirk Humphries and Oklahoma Corporation Commissioner Bob Anthony — had been campaigning and raising money. But he still won the Republican nomination without a run-off.

Earlier this week, Coburn was endorsed by the Club for Growth political action committee. The Washington-based group, which favors low taxes and less government spending, endorsed Coburn in 2004, and its members around the nation flooded Coburn's campaign coffers.

Coburn has said he has no timetable for making a decision.
