Tonight is the night: Prairie takes over TapWerks

by Nick Trougakos Published: February 27, 2014

The day is upon you beer fan: the highly anticipated Prairie Artisan Ales tap takeover at TapWerks is at 6 p.m. tonight.

I’ve written about the takeover in the past, so I won’t spend too much time carrying on about the details, but I will share this poster TapWerks created for the event:

And I will share this message from TapWerks’ Facebook page:

A PSA regarding the Prairie Artisan Ales tap takeover this Thursday.

-There is a limited amount of beer & some will go fast
-It will be busy
-It will be on both floors
-It will be awesome

S0, I think we can all agree you better show early to get a seat and make sure you get the beer you want. May the odds be ever in your favor!

Pints and Pins

-If you can’t make it by TapWerks tonight, consider hitting up Republic Gastropub. They are hosting a Dead Armadillo pint night featuring those nifty beer can-style pint glasses.

-Catching up with some of the local liquor stores, I see that the Avery/Russian River collab Collaboration not Litigation Ale is in stores now, as is North Coast’s Le Merle Saison, which comes highly recommended.

-McNellie’s Tulsa has scheduled a Beer University featuring favorite beers from their original menu. The date/time is 7 p.m. March 10, and the cost is $25. To RSVP, email

-McNellie’s Tulsa is also hosting a Roughtail pint night on Monday.

-Speaking of Roughtail, their beer will be featured tonight at a fundraiser adult spelling bee for the OKC Midtown Rotary Club. Tickets and more information available here.

-And speaking of Roughtail again, only a few spots remain for Roughtail’s second annual Wort Transformation. This is a super-cool homebrew event!
