Tony Romo has back surgery, placed on IR Published: December 27, 2013

After some juggling of whether or not Tony Romo was going to suit up for the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, the news dropped Friday that Romo was indeed done for the season after undergoing surgery on his back.

The news comes only two days before the Cowboys are set to play Philadelphia for the NFC East title in Arlington. Romo will be placed on injured reserve and backup Kyle Orton will get the start Sunday in the do-or-die game against the Eagles.
