Tony Snow will speak at OC event

Former White House press secretary Tony Snow will be a speaker at Oklahoma Christian University next month.

Snow will make his presentation at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 29, and tickets are now available. The free event is sponsored by the Hatton W. Sumners Foundation through the university's Academy of Leadership & Liberty. The speech is open to the public.

Snow was named press secretary by President Bush in May 2006 shortly after Snow was diagnosed with cancer. He underwent treatment and was told the cancer was cured, but discovered last March that the cancer had returned and he started treatment again. He returned to work in April after started a second round of chemotherapy. Snow left his position at the White House in September after completing chemotherapy.

Before serving as press secretary, Snow worked for FOX News and was director of speechwriting and deputy assistant of media affairs for former President Bush in 1991.
