Top Oklahoma school administrators selected

The Oklahoma Association of Elementary School Principals, the Oklahoma Middle Level Educators Association and the Oklahoma Association of Secondary School Principals have named the top administers.

Doug Stafford

He started his career as a special-education teacher in Hennessey and moved to Enid in 2006.

He has worked as the Emerson Middle School principal since 2010.

Three other finalists were selected:

Patrick Dodson, principal of Grove Middle School.

Debbie Hoffman, principal of Cache Middle School.

Cathy Walker, principal of Stillwater Middle School.

Secondary level

Also, the Oklahoma Association of Secondary School Principals named its 2014 Oklahoma High School Principal of the Year.

Stacey Vernon is principal at Will Rogers College Junior High and High School in Tulsa.

Vernon was a teacher before becoming an administrator at Thomas Edison High School in the Tulsa Public Schools. She assumed her role at Will Rogers in 2011.

Three other finalists were named:

Todd Glasgow, principal of Piedmont High School.

Tracy Skinner, principal of Deer Creek High School in Edmond.

Patty Stanley, principal of Newkirk High School.
