Some 22 major award winners from both schools have been invited to a private dinner Friday night. Among them are Heisman Trophy winners Johnny Rodgers, Mike Rozier and Eric Crouch of Nebraska and Steve Owens, Billy Sims and Jason White of Oklahoma.

Thirty members of the 1959 Nebraska team also will hold a reunion. That's the team that beat Oklahoma 25-21 to end the Sooners' 74-game conference unbeaten streak.

This year's OU and Nebraska teams square off on Saturday at 7 p.m. The game will be televised by ABC (Cox 8).

Being a SOONER fan that was born and raised in nebraska, during the 70's. I was able to get to hear about both OU and Nebraska players. What a great tradition both schools had and the respect each school has for each other. Too bad the big 12 had to ruin one of college footballs greatest rivalarys. Glad to see both schools are doing the right thing by keeping this alive. Thank you for showing the world great sportmanship.

Although OU lost the game of the century it was the greatest football ever. Both teams played up to their billing with the lead going back and forth. I liked the headline on Sunday. Nebraska may be number one but they won't dispute OU being number 1A. It was a great great game.
