Tourney benefits Boys Ranch Town
EDMOND — A Sunday golf tournament will benefit Edmond’s Boys Ranch Town.
The tournament will be at the Jimmie Austin Golf Course in Norman and will be hosted by the Long Shots Tour. "We want to give golfers a great experience, great competition, great venues, and a great cause,” Wade Walker, PGA professional and marketing director of the Long Shots Tour, said in a news release. "This is an opportunity to create awareness for the financial needs of Boys Ranch Town while providing avid golfers with some of the best venues to play in Oklahoma.” Since 1903, Boys Ranch Town’s parent organization, Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children, has provided homes for children affected by abuse, abandonment or neglect. Funds are raised through entry fees and corporate sponsorships. To find out more about the Long Shots Tour or to become a sponsor, go to www.longshotstour.com or call Walker at 401-6227, or e-mail wade@wade madegolf.com.
