Toy giveaway in Oklahoma helps military families

Operation Homefront organized a third annual event this year to give the families toys, books, household goods and other items.

“This is a way to thank them for their service and provide a little assistance over the holidays,” said Carol Herrick, Operation Homefront's executive director for Oklahoma and Arkansas.

Herrick said 100 children would also win bicycles courtesy of Hudiburg Auto Group.

“Now I know I'll be able to see that excited look on my kids' faces Christmas morning,” DeLorge said.

This is one of six holiday events organized by Operation Homefront in Arkansas and Oklahoma. The group will be at Fort Sill on Saturday.
