Tractor-trailer goes off I-44 bridge but driver survives
The driver of a tractor-trailer survived a crash Thursday after he lost control of his gravel-hauling rig which plunged off an Interstate 44 bridge in southwest Oklahoma City .
The driver was headed east on I-44 about 6:15 a.m. when the rig went off a bridge over S Independence Avenue and down an embankment. The rig crossed Independence and jackknifed at the top of the hill, spilling a load of gravel.
