Shofar blowing highlights Jewish High Holy Days
Bob Weiss of Edmond learned to blow the shofar more than 20 years ago. Each time he holds the traditional horn up to his lips, he is filled with the joy of his Jewish faith.
Weiss, 54, is among a small, select group that has been chosen to blow the shofar at Emanuel Synagogue, 900 NW 47, during the Jewish High Holy Days. The High Holy Days begin at sundown Wednesday with Rosh Hashana .
