Traffic accident kills Tulsa man

A Tulsa man died Friday after crashing his vehicle into a tree near Skiatook in Osage County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said.

The victim was identified as Walter Allen Bauders, 39. Troopers said he was driving on Rogers Boulevard when he missed a curve in the road, overcorrected and crashed into a tree about 8:20 p.m. He was pinned inside the vehicle for about 30 minutes.

Bauders died at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt, the highway patrol said.
