3 p.m. One northbound lane is reopened on the Broadway Extension bridge over Interstate 44, police Capt. Dexter Nelson said. Police still are at the scene.

2:10 p.m. A visual inspection of the bridge above Interstate 44 has been completed, said Brenda Perry, state Transportation Department spokeswoman.

Inspectors said the broken concrete was from an outside barrier wall that was chipped due to the impact of the wreck. Some maintenance is required to fix the barrier, but the crash didn't impact the integrity or safety of the bridge, Perry said.

1:50 p.m. Police remain at the scene of an accident on Broadway Extension near Interstate 44, police Master Sgt. Gary Knight said.

Police say the bridge above Interstate 44 needs to be inspected because concrete was knocked off by a vehicle, Knight said.

Traffic is still backed up at Interstate 44.
