Traffic Talk: Shedding light on a darkened interstate intersection

Next morning, I emailed Stuart with “my findings.”

Here is his response.

“Thank you for being the citizen reporting the problem this time. I've called OG&E and turned this in for repairs.”

But there's more.

Stuart says anyone can report such a problem to OG&E by calling 272-9595.

“If you do call one in,” he says, “you need to be specific about the location. A report that there are lights out along I-35 between Moore and Edmond isn't useful to them. A report that the two median high mast light towers on I-35 immediately to the south of E Memorial Road and a high mast light tower on the east side of I-35 north of E Memorial Road between the I-35 on- and off-ramps is a useful report because it is pretty specific, although it lacks street address information, which they really prefer to get if at all possible.”

So there's what has been and is being done to correct the situation you asked about, Cheryl. Thanks to those three guys, this should be improved soon.

By the way ...

That tower light on the north side of Memorial should help drivers either exiting onto Memorial or entering I-35 from the access road because it is between them.
