Traffic Talk: Who gets lost in a parking lot?

I also seem to be able to find detours, construction areas, dead-end streets and one-way avenues going the opposite direction, all when I'm not looking for them.

It's just one of my, shall we say, abilities.

More than once I've heard a passenger say, “This doesn't look familiar,” or “I think we're supposed to be over there.” But everything works out well unless you ask, “Do you know where you're going?”

I know WHERE we're going. I just may take a little longer to get there going my way.

GPS? Yep, got one. But it doesn't tell you everything, I've found.

A wise man once told me: “When you're driving, and you get off the course you are supposed to be on, never admit it. Just drive on.” It's definitely a “guy thing.”

I've been able to see scenery I never would have if I had stayed on course. I just considered it bonus traveling.

The only time it really has been a problem (to me) was when my passengers and I had to be somewhere at a specific time.

Anyone who knows me well knows I do not like to be late for anything.

Such was the case last week when my wife, Becky, and I had to make a trip downtown to pick up our granddaughter, Sydney, before we were supposed to have dinner with friends at a restaurant about 20 miles away. We were already a bit late when we left home.
