VERDIGRIS -- Motorists saw more smoke than normal coming from the engine of a BNSF Railway train passing through the Catoosa area Tuesday. So, they called authorities.

The Claremore Progress reports that the Catoosa Fire Department was called shortly before 7 a.m.

BNSF officials and firefighters determined it would be better to stop the train in Verdigris to handle the fire.
