Trinity selects senior pastor
The Rev. Kent Hubbard has been chosen senior pastor of Trinity Church of the Nazarene, 7301 S Walker. He has served as senior or associate pastor at churches in Missouri and Oklahoma since 1980. Hubbard began service at Trinity as executive pastor in 2001. He recently held the title of lead pastor at the church until being chosen as senior pastor.
An installation service will be at 9:30 a.m. Dec. 13.

Band special TO air in theaters
Hillsong United will appear live in the one-night-only "Hillsong United: We’re All in This Together” event Wednesday at 440 movie theaters nationwide. The band will perform live from
Australia as part of the event. The band’s new documentary, "The I Heart Revolution: We’re All in This Together,” will follow their performance. The documentary shows the band’s journey across six continents, where they encountered people of faith addressing human slavery, child soldiers, displaced refugees, extreme poverty and other concerns.
The special will be shown 6:30 p.m. Nov. 4 at

Martin Luther King Ave., and

School celebrates with festival
Oklahoma City University will celebrate Dia de los Muertos or Day of the Dead with a festival from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the
OCU Meinders School of Business, NW 27 and McKinley. The event is free and open to the public. Activities include a 4 p.m. screening of two short documentaries, "Celebrating the Day of the Dead” and "The Day of the Dead in Janitzio.” Traditional Mexican music and dancing will be at 7 p.m. Guests can sample foods including mole chicken, tamales, hot chocolate and breads.
Church to host anniversary fete
DEL CITY — The congregation of Del City Christian Church will hold its 60th Anniversary Celebration on Sunday at 4340 SE 15. A meet-and-greet coffee time will be at 9:30 a.m., followed by morning worship at 10:45 a.m. A celebration program is planned at noon and a luncheon at 1 p.m.

Honoring law enforcement
"Law and Order Sunday” will be Sunday at Windsor Hills Baptist Church, 5517 NW 23.
Several law enforcement officers will be honored including representatives of the
Bethany and
Oklahoma City police departments,
Oklahoma County sheriff’s office and the
Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Luncheon to explore RELIGIONS
"When Faith and Work Values Collide,” a luncheon event sponsored by the
Oklahoma Business Ethics Consortium, will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the
Jim Thorpe Museum, 4040 N Lincoln Blvd.
Speakers will explore beliefs held by Catholics, Protestants and Buddhists. The intent of the program is to create dialogue between different religious groups as well as offer practical suggestions for managing ethical conflicts in the workplace, said
Shannon Warren, the consortium’s founder.
Speakers will include
Andrew Tevington,
The Oklahoman’s Our Faiths columnist and author of "Our Faiths”; the
Rev. Rick Stansberry, pastor of Christ the King Catholic Church; and
John Cougher, a Zen Buddhist and Dharma instructor.
Jian-Mao Shi, abbess of the Buddhist Mind Monastery, will show how meditation can help quell negative emotions.
