PRAIRIE GROVE — The 57th annual Clothesline Fair will feature more than 200 craft booths with artisans demonstrating and selling their wares at the Prairie Grove Battlefield State Park from Saturday through Sept. 1.
Booths will feature handmade items. No commercial products are allowed. Living history, square dancing and musical entertainment are planned. The fair is free; parking is $4. For more information, call (479) 846-2990.
MISSOURI
Irish Fest
KANSAS CITY — The Kansas City Irish Fest from Friday through Aug. 31 bills itself as one of the largest Irish festivals in the country, attended by about 85,000 people last year. Dancers, artisans, storytellers, a children's area and more than two dozen musicians on five stages are part of the fun. Admission is $10 a day; children 12 and younger are admitted free.
