Carry-on tips from TSA

• Liquids and gels need to follow the 3-1-1 rule: 3-ounce bottles or less in a 1-quart sized clear plastic zip-top bag and one bag per passenger. Remember to take the bag out of luggage and place it in the bin.

• Exempt liquids are items such as baby formula, breast milk and cough syrup. Travelers with these should find the correct screening lane and remove the items from their bags.

• Snow globes are allowed in checked bags only.

• Firearms must be declared at the ticket counter, unloaded and inside a hard-sided, locked container.
