I do believe this is the month for weddings. Whether the ceremony is in a backyard garden, chapel or church, June is the most popular month to marry. The centuries-old tradition began with the Romans. Juno, goddess of women and marriage and for whom the month of June was named, vowed to protect and bring prosperity to those who wed in her month.
These days, the number of June weddings probably has more to do with good weather than a goddess. It also means many of us will be shopping for a wedding gift, if not this month then in August or September, two other popular months for weddings. Here are a few gift ideas.
