Trial date set in Oklahoma embezzling case
An Aug. 30 trial has been set for a former state employee accused of embezzling about $1.16 million. Roger Q. Melson Jr., 56, of Edmond, worked at the state Commissioners of the Land Office. Melson, above, embezzled because of a gambling addiction, his attorney has said. He is expected to reach a plea agreement with prosecutors before trial.
