The husband and wife were killed at their home in Bokoshe in July 2011.

Statham has pleaded not guilty. His attorney, Peter Astor, tells the Southwest Times Record (http://is.gd/AeLRDr ) that the trial is scheduled for Jan. 14.

Prosecutors allege that Statham bought a gun in North Dakota, disassembled it and brought it to Fort Smith, Ark., in a Hoover vacuum cleaner box. Prosecutors claim that Statham killed his parents then fled to North Dakota where he was arrested on July 7, 2011.
