Trout fishing begins Friday at city pond

Trout fishing will begin Friday at Oklahoma City ’s Dolese Youth Park Pond, NW 50 and Meridian.

Part of the "Close to Home” fishing program — a joint project of the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation and the City of Oklahoma City — fishing for rainbow trout will be allowed through Feb. 28.

More than 8,000 rainbows will be put in the pond every two weeks during the season. ...
