A truck moving a house broke down Tuesday on 36th Avenue NE, south of Rock Creek Road, blocking traffic for hours, city officials said.

The blocked portion of 36th Avenue NE was closed until movers finally were able to maneuver the house back onto the property where it came from.

Officials said movers would try again another day to move the house to its destination at Lindsey Street and Garfield Avenue.
