Tulsa County GOP votes to censure 2 officials

The Tulsa County Republican Party County Committee has voted to oppose the Vision2 extension of a county sales tax and to censure GOP County Commissioners Fred Perry and John Smaligo, who approved sending the issue to voters in November.

Seventy-five to 80 people attended the county committee meeting Saturday, and all but three voted in favor of the censure, Tulsa County Republican Chairman J.B. Alexander said.

"It was overwhelming among the people present," he said.
