Tulsa educator Brian Grimm named Oklahoma teacher of the year

Brian Grimm was named Oklahoma's teacher of the year at the State Fair in Oklahoma City today.

Grimm teaches English and pre-advanced placement English at Will Rogers High School in Tulsa.

He has taught at the school for 13 years.

Grimm was one of 12 finalists for the award.

Brian Grimm was named Oklahoma's teacher of the year at the State Fair in Oklahoma City today.

Grimm teaches English and pre-advanced placement English at Will Rogers High School in Tulsa.

Grimm, who has worked at the school for five years, is a graduate of the University of Science and Arts in Chickasha.

He will receive prizes including tuition waivers, use of a car for a year and about $10,000 in cash awards.

"This means so much to the school district and the kids at Rogers," Grimm said.

Grimm was one of 12 finalists for the award.
