TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Marita Engzelius shot even-par rounds of 72 to help lead the Tulsa women's golf team to first place in the 2012 Conference USA Women's Golf Championship.
The Golden Hurricane carded a three-over par 291 in second round action on Tuesday. With a 36-hole total of 590, Tulsa has a seven-stroke advantage over Tulane.
Central Florida has a 599 for third place, East Carolina is fourth with a 621 and SMU rounds out the top five with a 624.
Engzelius is the only golfer in the tournament with an under-par score. She has a two-stroke lead over Maribel Porras-Lopez of Tulane.
Tulsa's Kristina Merkle is tied for sixth place, while Sarah Elliott, Kamryn Ruffin and Anna Young are tied for 13th place.
