RB becomes dual threat for Tulsa
Tarrion Adams, senior running back from Moore, has become the first player in Tulsa football history to have 2,000 yards rushing and 1,000 yards pass receiving.

"It's huge to me personally, but firstly it contributes more to the team,” Adams said. "The more success I have individually, it makes the team that much better. I'm a team guy and anything that helps the team, I'm all for it. But I'm very grateful.”

"Tarrion's been an unbelievable warrior for our program,” Tulsa coach Todd Graham said. "He's a leader on our team, voted captain every week. And it's a big-time accomplishment for him to reach a milestone that's never been done here. It's just awesome and he's well-deserving of that. We're very, very proud of Tarrion.”

TU vs. top QBs
Last Saturday, Tulsa faced Central Arkansas quarterback Nathan Brown, who is rated the No. 3 pro quarterback prospect (one spot ahead of Missouri's Chase Daniel) by Pro Football Weekly. This Saturday, TU faces another outstanding quarterback in Rice senior Chase Clement, who is ranks sixth in NCAA total offense. His first year as a starter was 2006, when Graham was Rice's coach.

"He's very smart with the football, just a great quarterback,” Graham said. "He's really playing well right now. He's surgical with the football, the way he locates it.”

Graham on Rice
It'll be Rice vs. Tulsa, not Rice vs. Graham, on Saturday. Says who? Says Graham, who was criticized for leaving Rice after just one season, in 2006.

"When you go to a place and stay one year,” Graham said, "you deserve to take some flak. I have no problem with that.”

"It might have had a little impact last year, but all that gets thrown out the window after the first three minutes of the game,” Graham said. "Our guys didn't beat Rice last year for coach Graham. They beat Rice so we could go play in the conference championship game. I don't think kids think about that stuff... Their kids will be fired up because it's Tulsa, not because it's coach Graham, I can assure you that.”

Nearing Top 25?
Tulsa is 4-0 for the first time since 1978, and 30th in this week's AP poll voting.

"This is the first time I've been 4-0 as a Division I football coach, so I'm pretty jacked,” Graham said.

Tulsa tidbits
Tulsa has scored on its first two possessions in every game this season... Quarterback David Johnson has thrown 19 touchdown passes, which already ranks eighth in TU history... TU has scored at least 40 points in nine of its last 10 games... TU has passed for 300 yards in 18 consecutive games.
