Tulsa: Lawmaker pushes for private prison use in Oklahoma

A key legislative leader on Tuesday said the state should use more private prisons as it tries to cope with crumbling facilities of its own.

"Department of Corrections facilities are continuing to deteriorate, and the cost is increasing to taxpayers,” said Senate President Pro Tem Glenn Coffee, R- Oklahoma City .
