Tulsa man dies in motorcycle crash

SPAVINAW — A Tulsa man died when his out-of-control motorcycle crashed in Mayes County today, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Troopers said Matthew Alwin French, 26, was driving too fast to negotiate a curve on State Highway 82 when his motorcycle crashed about 11:05 a.m. just south of Spavinaw. He was northbound on the highway when the motorcycle ran off the road and hit a tree.

French was wearing a helmet.
