TULSA - University of Tulsa officials suspect drugs and alcohol played a role in the death of a freshman who died in his dorm room last week.

Tulsa police told school officials about the apparent role of drugs and alcohol in the death of Isaac Perrault, 19, TU President Steadman Upham wrote in an e-mail to students and employees.

Perrault graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Tulsa last spring. His mother, Lisa Perrault, works for TU at the University School, a private school for 3-year-olds through eighth-graders.

Last Friday, an acquaintance of Perrault's reported to campus security that he had become unresponsive, Upham's e-mail said. Paramedics could not revive him.

A police spokesman did not immediately a telephone message on Thursday.

A memorial service was scheduled for Thursday in Tulsa.
