Tulsa, Oklahoma counties get F for ozone pollution

TULSA - A report on ozone pollution by the American Lung Association gives both Oklahoma and Tulsa counties an "F'' for the level of pollution.

The "State of the Air 2008" report released Thursday says high levels of ozone or particle pollution can create life-threatening risks for some people. It says those at highest risk include children, teenagers and seniors, and people with asthma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, cardiovascular disease and diabetes.

Of the other counties in the state included in the report, Cleveland and Pittsburg counties received an "A."

Adair, Cherokee, McClain and Dewey counties each received a "B."

Canadian, Comanche, Creek, Kay, Mayes and Ottawa counties each were given a "C."
