National Weather Service meteorologist David Jankowski in Tulsa says that as of 9 a.m. Wednesday 4.5 inches of snow had fallen "and more is coming down."

Tulsa entered the day 4.7 inches of snowfall away from matching the seasonal record of 25.6 inches, set during the 1923-24 winter season. Seasonal records are measured from July 1 to June 30.

Tulsa's calendar-year record for snow is 29.6 inches, set in 1958. Before Wednesday, 17.3 inches of snow had fallen in Tulsa during 2011.
