A union spokeswoman said Thursday that workers have been told Tulsa's Processing and Distribution Center is scheduled to close in 2014.
Stacy Boyd said workers at the east Tulsa plant were told that a formal announcement by Postal Service officials is expected later Thursday.
The plant employs about 600 people. Most of those jobs are expected to be eliminated or shifted to Oklahoma City. The plant handles about 3 million pieces of mail daily.
